Laina Miller's practice focuses on matters involving commercial, environmental, property, and securities litigation. Ms. Miller has represented clients in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings. Additionally, Ms. Miller advises clients on issues related to electronic discovery and information management.
Before joining Shipley Snell Montgomery, Ms. Miller practiced with a Houston litigation boutique.

- Representation of corporate executive in arbitration against former employer involving employment agreement and defamation claims
- Defense of an international law firm in multiple cases involving claims of legal malpractice and fraud in connection with the firm's opinions regarding tax-advantaged investment strategies
- Defense of a commercial designer of regenerator cyclones used in the oil refining process against purchaser’s products liability, breach of contract, breach of warranty, and negligence claims
- Representation of a major railroad company in multiple cases for recovery of environmental remediation costs
- Defense of a major railroad company in cases involving injuries allegedly caused by environmental contamination
- Representation of a medical imaging company in various business, contractual, and leasing disputes
- Representation of a leading environmental response and remediation services company in federal action for collection of judgment against a heavy equipment leasing company
- Representation of a local private school in contractual disputes
- Representation of municipality in case against manufacturer of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) equipment purchased for fire department use
- Representation of corporate employees in case concerning validity and alleged violations of non-compete agreements
- Defense of oil and gas rig manufacturer against competitor's claims of alleged trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation
- Representation of construction contractor in suit to recover insurance for hurricane damage to hospital
